Created in 2000, Barbara Erskine networks
is a consulting firm specializing in communication strategy and media
relations. While its headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland, Barbara
Erskine and her associates work on many international forums and
events. Our clients include or have included The Women's Forum for the
Economy and Society; Ambrosetti - The European House; Horasis - The
Global Visions Community; BioVision; BioMarine; The Bill & Melinda
Gates Foundation; GAVI; UNICEF; and the Swiss Government, among others.
Barbara Erskine has over
25 years experience in media and in press relations. A graduate of
Sarah Lawrence College, with graduate work at New York University,
she joined the New York Times Paris Bureau to work with Flora Lewis,
Foreign Affairs Columnist, for six years (1985-1990). After that, for
ten years she was Director of Media Operations and Member of the
Executive Board of the World Economic Forum, based in Geneva,
building the brand and developing media relations(1990-2000). Upon
leaving the World Economic Forum, she joined the staff of the San
Francisco-based Wired Magazine as European Editor in 2000-2001,
continuing as Contributing Editor for several years after that. In
2000, she started Barbara Erskine networks. Clients
and projects include or have included the Bill & Melinda Gates
Foundation; UNICEF; GAVI; the Swiss Federal Government;
Ambrosetti-The European House; The Women’s Forum for the Economy
and Society; BioMarine, among others.
